Canada’s military getting the shaft

Even though I’m not yet a voter… I was very pleased when the Conservatives came to power for one reason only – their defence procurement was thought to go sky high.

The Prime Minister’s promises of asserting Canada’s sovereignty in the Arctic was a splendid idea.  I’m not against the government spending lots of my taxes on Canada’s military.  I’ve always been of the opinion that Canada needs to add in the very least Read more...

Musical Military – VAW-116

A while back I found some rather awesome music videos from the U.S Navy’s VAW-116 Hawkeye Squadron and one from USS Ronald Reagan. If you want a laugh, check them out! AWESOME directing and editing skills.

France Steps Up

I have to now rescind all bad things I called France for their contributions to Afghanistan.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has formally announced that the French military is going to send a battalion of troops to Afghanistan – one of the eastern provinces mostly likely. That way the Yanks will be able to send troops south to help the Canadian troops kick ass. Poland has stepped up and is allowing Canada use of helicopters.

If you’ll remember, Canada said it’s out of there, unless a minimum of 1000 extra troops are provided, and access to surveillance drones and aircraft to transport troops around.

I don’t want Sarkozy to end up being the Euro-Bush, but I do want another ally in Europe for Britain when we send troops into hot zones. Yayyy for Sarkozy!

Stephen Harper (Canada’s Prime Minister) has said that Canada’s demands have been met and Canada will be staying until 2011 in Afghanistan. Check out the news story on CBC News. Awesome!

Two Issues

I still harbour tremendous animosity towards Spain, France, Germany and Italy for their cowardice in Afghanistan. As I’ve said before those bunch of pussies make me ashamed to be European. I emailed the German government yesterday and called them cowards. It’s obvious they’re worried about the image of German troops in battle will bring up memories of World War, but in my email I told them to get the fuck over it and stop being cowards.

On a last note… I completely believe that the Israeli Defence Force deliberately murdered a Canadian military observer in a U.N observation post because he was going to report that Israel was committing war crimes in Lebanon. You can check out the story on CBC.ca >>

Fucking Assholes

As of now I have an intense dislike for Germans, Italians and Spaniards.  Fucking pussy whipped countries sign up to NATO, and then wimp out when it comes to stepping up to the plate in Afghanistan.  The Danes, Brits, Australians, Canadians and Americans are doing all the f**king work whilst those other three countries are keeping their soldiers far up north and refusing to put their fighting men in harm’s way to help out their allies.

I bet if the U.S cut off all diplomatic relations and trade ties with Germany, and pulled all of it’s military bases and personnel out of the country immediately, those f**king Germans would send 1000 troops to southern Afghanistan in two hours.

Who gives a fuck about what the people  in those three countries want?  Governments ignore the wishes of their citizens all the time when they have Intelligence Information that the general public doesn’t.  Don’t those pricks realise if Canada leaves southern Afghanistan, Australia won’t be far behind… it won’t be long before the U.S throws up its hands and says ‘fuck it’, and withdraws all its troops too.

Then where would the Germans, Italians and Spaniards be?  They’d come crying to NATO asking for help when they start getting Afghan trained suicide bombers blowing up their citizens by the hundreds.  Kick the f**king bastards out of NATO, the EU, the U.N and cut off relations with those countries!

Plodding On

As usual… life plods on. Work is going good. Very very busy.

Life on the home front is same as always. Rocky at times, great at others. My daughter is doing excellently. I have great trouble getting her to drink her milk all at once… the only time I don’t have problems feeding her is in the morning around 6am.

Lorraine doesn’t have problems getting her to eat… and didn’t with Nicolas either, even though he was with me 90% of the days when he was still on the bottle. It used to bother me that my children eat better for their mother than me, but it doesn’t much at all anymore. I figure it’s just one of those things that has no rhyme or reason that I can figure out. So it’s all good!

I’m building my own community portal at http://www.kenoralife.ca to try and compete with long standing, but lack lustre local competitors mykenora.com and gokenora.com. Kenora Life offers free email addresses, and will eventually offer free webhosting, classifieds and a search engine. All in good time!

I’m sure most educated people have heard the latest bullshit in the Middle East – Iran has captured 15 British Navy sailors. They’ve said that the Brits were in Iranian waters… which is about as sure as anything could be sure wrong! Iran gave one set of coordinates… and then when the Navy pointed out those were still inside Iraq’s waters, Iran changed to another set of coordinates. They won’t release them, and the wimp in 10 Downing Street won’t launch a Cruise missile strike against Iran. If Margaret Thatcher was in power… this would have been over 5 days ago.

If Iran acts this way and tries to bully people now… what can we expect with a nuclear armed Iran? We need to bomb the hell out of the Ayatollah, and Ahmenedin

It irks me that Iran’s military could sneak up on ours without being detected which is almost impossible… so what the likely story is that either there was a failure of command on the HMS Cornwall, or they were in Iranian waters and were testing response times.

It irks me that it took President Bush a week to publicly say anything. I’ve been reading various peoples comments about this. One said that the Americans would have blown the Iranians out of the water… but instead we just surrender humbly and write rambling letters.

Put me in charge and I’ll have this sorted out in a week – launch a couple of Trident warheads at Tehran, and take a British aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf and keep it there permanently… that’d sort out those stupid f**king Persians. Why don’t they just stick to playing chess and making rugs?

Canada’s Military

It’s safe to assume that Canada produces some of the best military snipers in the world. The Canadian forces are competent… on par with the Yanks, but not as good as the Brits yet. The problem is the value that Canada places upon its military. Here’s a news story I picked up from a newspaper which made me very pissed off with Rick Hillier.

A former Nova Scotia man who was turned down when he tried to join the Canadian air force has won the Distinguished Flying Cross for demonstrating “great courage and composure” while piloting a British military helicopter in Afghanistan.

Flight Lieutenant Christopher Hasler grew up in Bedford, near Halifax, and learned how to fly gliders and Cessnas with the local air cadet squadron.

After job-shadowing a Sea King helicopter pilot at 12 Wing Shearwater and graduating high school, he turned his eye to the sky with the hope of making a career out of flying military choppers.

“I applied out of high school to the Canadian Forces and didn’t get in, for whatever reason,” the 26-year-old said during a Christmas visit with his parents, who live in Ottawa.

“These things happen. So I went to university and still really wanted to fly. So I gave the Royal Air Force a call and then I was successful.”

After a relatively peaceful stint in Iraq in 2004, Hasler was sent to Afghanistan last summer for a two-month tour.

He was the captain of a Chinook on July 17 when he led a group of helicopters into Sangin, a Taliban stronghold where a soldier had been killed the day before while trying to secure the landing site.

The mission was to bring desperately needed supplies to British paratroopers.

The citation says that “he held his nerve while his troops were disembarking at the hottest of helicopter landing sites, allowing them to suppress enemy positions with minimum U.K. casualties.

Hasler, who did another two-month tour of Afghanistan in the fall is to return again early in the new year, plans to attend a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in the spring, when Queen Elizabeth II will present him with the DFC.

This makes me twice as mad because those in Canadian Forces Recruiting turned down my application because I’m not a Canadian citizen. HOW STUPID CAN THE TOFFS IN BUSINESS SUITS GET? The Canadians are bearing the brunt of the Taliban in the south of Afghanistan… Canadian soldiers are dying, yet they won’t send more soldiers or boost the national spending on defence.

Of course… Italy, France and Germany are still a bunch of pussy whipped bunch of pansies who are a disgrace to NATO, by keeping their sorry ass troops up north, and refusing to put them in danger down the south while Canada, Britain, Denmark and the U.S are taking all the crap.

Current Middle East Affairs

As I’ve stated numerous times throughout my blog, I am definitely far from anti-semitic or anti-zionist (or whatever the term for being against the state of Israel is). I very much believe that Israel has the right to defend itself using as much force as is necessary, and no more.

But it’s quite clear that they’re using grossly excessive force. John Dugard, a United Nations Rapporteur has compared Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians to the Apartheid situation in South Africa way back. Of course, Israel has called the report one sided. You can view the news story on the BBC News website. It seems that when ANYONE says anything about Israel, Israel ALWAYS finds a way to called it biased, or one-sided. I’d love to find a criticism of Israel, in which Knesset have been mature enough to say ‘we do agree with that, and we are in the wrong. We are going to fix the problem, by not murdering hundreds of Palestinians over the unjust murders of a couple of Israeli’s’.

You hardly wonder why the IDF is f**king up so much when you have stories about the Israeli Defence Minister going on hahahahahahahahaha!

The 2008 Presidential race is heating up. There’s only two real candidates – Clinton and Obama. The chances of someone else winning is probably around 10%. Also, there’s rumours that Al Gore MIGHT run for President. The problem is he’s spent so many years acting like he won’t, the chances of him getting any real support is not much. Especially when you have Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the race. I think Al Gore would probably be the best President because of his desire to tackle global warming. Put someone like Arnold Schwarzenneger in as Vice President, Al Gore as President and you’d have Greenpeace EXTREMELY happy! If I were an American, even though Obama has the charisma, and Clinton has the experience, I’d be hesitant in backing either of those because they’d be too unpredictable in what they would do with America’s defence budget and the military in general… if they’d be willing to contribute troops if another nation needed help. If they’d unilaterally step in to somewhere like Somalia… or Sudan… or bomb the blazes out of North Korea if it attacked Japan or South Korea. Some people call America’s defence spending ridiculous – I call it excellent. I sleep safer at night because of the trigger happy cowboys south of the border.

British Defence

Like what is the problem with all these pussy whipped bunch of pansies in the U.K bitching and griping about the United Kingdom’s nuclear weapons?

These f**king liberal bitches really do need a good kick in the teeth! Are they really so stupid to think that we’ll be more secure without nuclear weapons? Ahhhhh… I get what they want…

Let’s give diplomacy a chance… even though North Korea has acquired nuclear weapons, and Iran won’t be far behind unless Israel does what everyone wants it to do. Needless to say diplomacy will stop the complete destruction of London from a nuclear blast if any of these hostile nations do actually detonate a nuclear device in the capital. These misguided liberal do-gooders will stand in the path of the blast and shout ‘STOP destroying… let’s talk about this’. YEAH RIGHT!

With people like Qadeer Khan leaking nuclear secrets to undesirables, why is the government even allowing these idiots who believe ‘all you need is love’ to spout their stupidness about eradicating the British nuclear deterrant?

The problem is of course the fact that the British nuclear missiles are designed, supplied and serviced by the Americans. They can’t be fired without the say-so of the Yanks.. so in that respect we really are puppets of the Yanks.

What Britain should do is instead of spending £2billion on Trident missiles is develop its own nuclear weapons completely independent of the U.S. That’s what France have done, and are doing fine. Britain has the money, the people and the resources to develop its own nuclear weapons and it should do so.

In the meantime, freedom of speech should be restricted against dumbass idiots who think diplomacy and negotiation is the only answer with the various idiots around the world who want a nuclear capability to wreak havoc.

I’ve been waiting to get that off my chest as I’ve become increasingly right-wing when it comes to the military.

NATO / Daily Stuff

As I long suspected… most European countries are still a bunch of wimpish pussies.

At the latest NATO meeting, apparently they all agreed to do more – but upon reading the website of the German government, they are still wimping out and not redeploying ANY troops to other parts of Afghanistan – Check out the story!

I bought three more books by Patrick Robinson – awesome writer.  I love the Arnold Morgan character in his books.  Too bad there isn’t a real life character like that.  Mebbe there is, as I suppose they have to be loosely based upon someone – that’s usually the deal with inspiration for stories with authors and movie directors.

It’s getting extremely cold around here – other night it was -25 degrees.  The Toyota Matrix I bought is proving to be a worthwhile investment.  I went off the road on the reserve yesterday and came within about six inches of hitting a fire hydrant.  I couldn’t back up onto the road – as my tyres are not very good.  But at least the four-wheel drive allowed me to go further off the road in clean snow, turn around and make a run at it – which got me back onto the road.

Nicolas is sick.  Got an ear infection.  The Nurse Practitioner prescribed him Amoxycylin.  Should clear it up quickly hopefully.

I’m putting into action the words I preach about hatred on the reserve… I’ve cause to not like a few people on the reserve, and whilst there’s a few people I’d rather not hang out with, I no longer hate anyone or want them dead.  I came to the harsh realisation that it just isn’t achieving anything, and only serves to bring my health level down.  So being polite and civil to people on the reserve that I used to not like, I think is going to help me tremendously.  I don’t mind if those people still think I’m a bastard – that’s their prerogative, but I am going to go out of my way to be polite and accomodating.
