I’m not often shocked and angered at Canada’s political parties… mainly because they’re all a bunch of dumbasses, but what’s going on right now is taking the piss.

As much as I don’t like Canada I think what the Liberals and New Democrats have done is treason at worst, and sedition at best.  Being in favour of Quebec’s independence, Gilles Duceppe‘s stated political aim is the break up of Canada (through Quebec’s independence).  Even though personally I think Stephané Dion would make an excellent Prime Minister, the majority of Canadians don’t and his recent attempts to seize power in the face of such a huge defeat just six weeks ago is sickening.

Having volunteered this past election for the NDP, I’m highly disgusted at Jack Layton AND Stephané Dion’s conduct in collaborating with the Bloc Quebecois.  Allowing the Bloc Quebecois into government and especially into the Cabinet is bad for Canada.

Let’s hope that wanker Stephen Harper pulls a rabbit out of his hat.

The thing that REALLY bites about all this bullshit is all of the opposition parties are whining about the economy is going downhill, yet I don’t see one single shred of evidence.  People are still spending what they always spend… the shops are fully stocked… the businesses in town are still making profit.  There is no recession.  I was talking to Rich Langtry from BMW Marine over breakfast about all this shit.  He rightly said it’s like the story of Chicken Little.  Everyone’s running around saying ‘recession, recession, the economy is bad, woe us, woe Canada’.  Everyone’s started to believe something that just isn’t happening.  I wish I could slap most of Canada’s population.
