A serious blast from the past

How many people remember these videos?

This first one was my childhood hero… I always wanted him to come and save the day whenever anything went wrong.

This next one was responsible for me wanting to eat bananas for the rest of my life when I was young.

Jimbo was my favourite toy growing up.

I’d rush home from school every day to try and catch these badboys.

Although I wished I had Mandrake’s magic… Phantom was always the one I wanted to be.

This guy was always a solid favourite of mine.

Britain Really Does Have Talent

Like holy cow man…  I now wish more than ever that I could get British prime time television here in Canada.  I’ll let the videos speak for themselves…

Important places on Google Maps for me

  • My mother’s last house
  • My last apartment in London
There were four apartments – mine was the lower right above the garage.  The SMOKING HOT crackhead Lisa lived above me.  The thin side window on the right closest to the edge of the building on my apartment is the window that Lisa’s crackhead buddies crept in and burgled my place.
  • More House
The place where I spent most of my formative years rebelling against Father McCabe.  The newer buildings in the back didn’t used to be there, and neither did the newer building to the left of the main house.  This is the place where I still have most amount of my happiest memories.  Seeing the house redeveloped like this makes me a little sad for some reason.
  • Crendon Park
This is the road where all of my worst memories and childhood experiences happened.  In the main group of houses in the centre, on the bottom row… the fourth house from the left is number 8. That is where (to my knowledge still) Myra and Derek Anscombe live.  Without going into too much detail they are my former foster parents who abused me terribly – so badly their son Martin checked himself into a psychiatric unit when he was an adult.  If you view this shot of the football fields near their house… you’ll see a small path going along the right side of it.  That path was paved with sharp stone chips when I was six years old and that path holds very bad memories for me.   In the centre of this image you can view a group of flats (apartments) where I had to go and scrounge food daily from the dumpsters in the concrete parking lot on the lower side of the flats.  Very many bad bad things happened to me there which still have an effect on how I react to various situations nearly twenty-five years later.

Random stuff again

I’m convinced that this video of a suicidal bridge jumper in China being pushed off the bridge by an irritated old man is possibly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.  I have no doubt that if I was that old I would do the same thing hahahahaha.

Concerning the issue of Israel’s colonisation of Palestine, I’m delighted that the U.S Secretary of State has stated that the U.S position on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is that Israeli settlement in Palestine must cease with NO EXCEPTIONS, such as ‘natural growth’ as the Israeli Prime Minister stated would be allowed to happen.

World peace took a definite turn for the worse when that bastard was made Israeli Prime Minister with the support of the biggest racist bastard Israel has ever seen – Avigdor Liberman.  It was Liberman’s party that is currently trying to ban Israeli Arabs from marking the ‘Nakba’ – the founding of and independence of Israel, which Israeli Arabs view as a catastrophe in which 700,000 Arabs fled Israel or were forced out of their homes.

I’m delighted that France has opened a permanent military base in the United Arab Emirates.  A Western nation that isn’t pro-American having military personnel stationed in the Middle East is definitely a good thing.  In the news story it says:

An aide to Mr Sarkozy is quoted by AFP news agency linking the base to an alleged Iranian threat: “We are deliberately taking a deterrent stance. If Iran were to attack, we would effectively be attacked also.”

A big challenge which basically says ‘come on and try it you bitches’ to Iran.  I wish more nations would do that.  Gotta respect French President Sarkozy for stepping up!

Proud to be British again

Most of the time the British government fucks up… but everyone once in a while they correct their errors and do something splendid that renews my pride in  being British.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

I used to idolise Arnie back when he made movies. Then when I found out his old man was a member of the Nazi Party I disliked him.  I then disliked him even more after he refused clemency for Tookie Williams (who I used to think was innocent of the crimes for which he was being executed).

But since he became Governor of California my admiration for him has shot through the roof.  Contrary to popular opinion he isn’t a muscle-bound meathead but is extremely intelligent. Check out the following Youtube video of him speaking at CSULB:

The thing that’s given me the most admiration for him is his willingness to go against the previous White House adminstration on various issues about greenhouse gas emissions. He’s also converted a Humvee he owns to use Hydrogen which apparently cost him $21,000 for the conversion.

I don’t see many other politicians around the world putting words about the environment into action like Arnie is.
